The Video Watermark Contest Rules – Updated!

What do we expect from you?
Download the VidLogo application and test it out. Put a video with a watermark on youtube or anywhere you want and Let us know what you think about the software in the comment box on VidLogo Review: an application to burnmark logos on videos, with a link to your uploaded movie.
Leave a working email address in the comment box so that we can contact you in case something is wrong with the URL or if you are the winner.
Privacy notice: You email address is safe with us. It will not be published on the site and we will not contact you for other reasons then the contest itself, unless you are a member of Miracle Tutorials, in which case you will keep receiving the periodical newsletter.
For the record: Miracle Tutorials is not affiliated in any way to GeoVid, the author of VidLogo.
If you like the software, you can buy it on their site, but for this contest, you can work with the demo version which does have a GeoVid watermark jumping around, but let that not stop you participating.
Buyers of the software do not have an advantage over participants using the demo version in terms of a chance to win. The jury is smart enough to see through the logo and concentrate on your creation.
Who will win?
The person with the most inspiring comment will win this contest! It’s as simple as that.
The video which has the most inspiring and skillfull application of a watermark (in its widest sense) will win this contest and with the full license, the winner can get rid of the GeoVid logo on his/her video, which then will be displayed on www.miracletutorials.com and womencorp.org during 3 months.
Inspiring: How inventive are you with the watermark? And how well blends it with the video?
With skillful we mean, is the placement of the watermark well chosen? A small hint: some video channels place a watermark in a particular corner and as a result, your watermark could be overlapped by that one. How do you deal with that?
Additional information about the contest:
- The size of the watermark doesn’t matter. You can be as creative as you want, as long as it serves its purpose, namely, indicating that the video is owned by somebody or a company.
- The watermark doesn’t need to be a logo, it can be anything that VidLogo can handle: text, a graphic and even a video.
- Again, with the demo version, a watermark of GeoVid will show up. We will neglect that. In other words, you do not need to buy the software first.
- We will not judge the content of the video itself, so we do not expect a professional video from you. However, it is only human that it will subconsciously influence us, so try to make sure that the content has an acceptable quality.
- Your comment itself on the VidLogo Review: an application to burnmark logos on videos will be judged on its merrit and usefullness to the reader. In other words, it doesn’t help to praise the application to the moon, unless you really like tio. Be honest and try to be informative. We simply want to know what you think about it in all honesty, and we are not affiliated with the softwxare house in any way.
Rules of the game
There can be no discussion or correspondence about the outcome of this contest. The decision will be final and the winner will be contacted by email to receive the full license key of the VidLogo application.
The winner will also have a visual link to a video of his/her choice on www.miracletutorials.com and www.womencorp.org from the 5th of May until 5 August 2009.
- No sexually illicit material or porn will be taken into consideration.
- No videos that incite hatred, include hate speech, or depict extreme violence.
- No TV, movies, trailers or other videos you find on the web. You may post videos of yourself on TV, as long as you have the rights to do so and the video is limited to your involvement in the program.
- The video can be commercial but it should not promote illegal substances, arms, explosives, pyramid sales or any shady type of sales proposition.
- Members of the jury and their family cannot participate in this contest.
- Comments on VidLogo Review: an application to burnmark logos on videos should not insult anyone or be unrelated with the issue. Comments with more links then the intended link to the video you would like to be promoted if you win, will be regarded as spam and not taken into consideration.
- Comments will be reviewed before publishing. If we feel that a comment is unacceptable, we will not publish it and the participant will be disqualified.
- If you have problems with the VidLogo software, please go to www.geovid.com and ask for support there. We do not offer support for it.
- The final decision about who is the winner will be taken by 5 May 2009. The outcome will be published on WomenCorp.com and MiracleTutorials.com and the winner will be contacted by email no later then the 7th of May 2009.
- If there are not enough participants, the jury may decide upon its own discretion either to lengthen the subscription period with a maximum of 30 days, or to cancel the contest altogether.
- By cancellation of the contest, we will ask an innocent hand to draw a name among the participants to win the license for VidLogo. The promotion period on the 2 sites will be canceled in that situation.
By participating with this contest, you agree with the rules of the game.
